I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! viewers were shocked to discover one of Tulisa’s band’s best kept secrets.
N-Dubz star Tulisa is currently starring on the 24th season of the ITV reality TV show, with line-up also including the likes of Coleen Rooney, social media star GK Barry and former Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse.
The new season has been making headlines courtesy of hosting duo Ant and Dec’s cheeky nod to the 'Wagatha Christie' case involving Rooney and Rebekah Vardy, though it was something else that caught fans’ attention on social media.
In last night's episode (18 November), Tulisa revealed what N-Dubz actually stands for, and it seems that not many people were in the know about what the hip-hop group’s moniker refers to.
Tulisa joined N-Dubz when she was 12 (ITV)
Founded in 2000 when Tulisa was only 12, the group also includes her cousin Dappy and their friend Fazer. The trio released their debut album Uncle B in 2008, with three more to follow, including the recent Timeless, dropped in 2023.
In the I'm A Celeb jungle, Tulisa discussed starting the group and explained what the name stands for.
The former X-Factor judge said N-Dubz simply stands for 'NW', the postcode for North West London - the area of the capital where the Camden Town band hails from.
The revelation prompted Mabuse, who lives in North West London with her husband Marius Lepure, to say: "I’m N-Dubz!"
Oti Mabuse was just as shocked as the rest of us (ITV)
Viewers were also left stunned to discover the meaning behind the name, taking to X to share their surprise.
"I was today years old when I learnt the meaning of N-Dubz," one person wrote, while another noted: "It’s been decades and I only now realise that N-Dubz stood for NW, the postcode for north west London."
A third asked: "Anyone else who had no idea NDubz stood for North west London?”
Another commented: "Can’t believe I’ve only just found out what n-dubz meant...”
And someone else put: "N-DUBZ just means a postcode area?!”
The group took a hiatus in 2011 to pursue their solo careers, with Tulisa joining The X-Factor as a judge the same year and releasing her debut solo album The Female Boss in 2012, which included UK number one single ‘Young’ as well as ‘Live It Up’ and ‘Sight of You’. In 2022, N-Dubz re-formed and announced a UK tour that quickly sold out.

It’s only been one episode but I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is truly back with plenty of us already eagerly awaiting tonight’s (18 November) fix.
So, in the meantime we’ve been fixating on bits of trivia from Rebekah Vardy making a dig at the detective icon Coleen Rooney to why the stars no longer have phone numbers on their backs.
And, of course, there’s the reasoning behind Tulisa’s tattoo as we celebrated her bringing back that pose last night. But that’s not the only thing the N-Dubz singer has us chatting about as many I’m A Celeb viewers were left stunned after learning how old the star really is.

As well as releasing bangers with the group and tunes like ‘Young’ as a soloist, Tulisa is probably best-known for her time spent as a judge on The X Factor from 2011 to 2012.
But what you probably don’t realise is just how young she was back then.
Recently appearing on Olivia Attwood’s So Wrong It’s Right podcast, Tulisa explained how she was just 22-years-old when she landed a spot on the judging panel.
“I was the youngest judge ever at the time,” she said.
Looking back, she describes the time as a ‘whirlwind’ and just ‘bizarre’.
“I manifested it – I looked at that job and I thought, ‘I’m going to have that job, that job is mine,’” the singer added.
Tulisa revealed she told Simon Cowell that if he didn’t hire her for the show, it would be ‘the biggest mistake he’d ever make in his life’.
“But I knew he was going to like that energy,” she added. “He hired me on the spot.”
Yep, those years as a kid watching Tulisa judging on The X Factor, thinking she’s some fully grown adult, she was just a young 20 something old.

So, fast forward to her making her TV comeback on I’m A Celeb now and she’s at the age of 36 – younger than you thought, right?
Celebrating her 35th birthday last year, she posted a snap of her eating cake to Instagram as fans praised: “You don’t look a day over 21.”
As others were stunned: “No way are you 35!”
And as she graced our screens last night, fans continued the praise: “Yes let’s not forget that Tulisa was an X Factor judge for Little Mix at age 23.. Dean is right, she is really is full of wisdom.”
Another put: “People forget how iconic Tulisa is, she was a judge on the X Factor at age 23! Not only that, she was the mentor for Little Mix and Ella Henderson.”

Not only was last night (17 November) the return of celebs roughing it in the jungle, but it was also the return of one star to TV.
Yep, in the mix of the line-up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is N-Dubz singer Tulisa.
Over the years, the star has taken a break from working in television, and a big reason for that was because of a secret health battle she has been dealing with for 12 years.
And as this marks the first time many viewers have seen her for a while, she previously revealed the heartbreaking reason behind any cosmetic facial surgery.

While appearing on Olivia Attwood’s So Wrong It’s Right podcast, Tulisa explained she hadn’t gone under the knife until recently – despite any speculation.
The 36-year-old said: “I hadn't had any surgery until, confession time, recently.
"All the time before there was no surgery, it was only fillers."
And when it came to explaining the reasoning behind the injectables, the former X Factor judge revealed a health diagnosis which had left her face both swollen and inflamed.
Tulisa explained that at the age of 24 (she was just 22 when she first started judging the singing contest), she had her first Bell’s palsy attack before getting diagnosed in 2020.
The NHS describe Bell’s palsy as a 'temporary weakness or lack of movement that usually affects one side of the face'.
"I had a massive burst of inflammation and it went down but my whole face dropped," she said. "I couldn't move it, my face remained like that for seven months, I didn't go out, I just hid in the house."

The singer added: “That was very stressful and my face still wasn't right so I started getting fillers to balance out the symmetry.”
In the years after her diagnosis, things seemed to calm down, but a flare up in 2022 led to her having her facial filled dissolved and re-injected in other areas to balance out the swelling.
Tulisa said this was a ‘vicious cycle’ of trying to fix her face.
"I had good days and bad days and I'd sometimes take steroids to bring it down," the star reflected.
"In some interviews I looked fine, in others you'd ask, 'What the hell is going on with her face?'"
During last night’s episode, Tulisa’s pal Rylan released a statement supporting her: “Also before people start going for appearance, Tulisa has been through a lot health wise the last few years so let’s not make sh*t jokes about her on twitter yeah x."

Tulisa has revealed that we've all been pronouncing her name wrong for the entire time - after being asked about it on a recent podcast episode.
The N-Dubz singer and former X Factor judge is currently taking part in the latest series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here alongside the likes of Coleen Rooney and GK Barry.
Despite only being in the jungle for one day, the star has already been showing off her iconic 'The Female Boss' tattoo as well as leaving fans shocked after learning her real age.
However, were you aware that we've been pronouncing Tulisa's name wrong this entire time?
I'm a Celeb marks the former singer's TV comeback (ITV)
Ahead of entering the jungle, the 36-year-old appeared on Olivia Atwood's podcast So Wrong it's Right where the TV personality asked about Tulisa's real name.
"Tulisa is not your actual name," Atwood said, a question which surprised the rapper.
"No, it isn't," she replied. "You're the first person to bring that up ever. Love that."
For anyone who wasn't aware of this (myself included), the singer's full name is actually Tula Paulinea Contostavlos.
"All the years of knowing you, following you, I've never heard that mentioned," Atwood added, leading Tulisa to reveal the origin of the nickname.
"My grandmother is also called Tula, so I was named after her," she began. "So Tulisa means 'tiny Tula' in Greek."

The explanation also revealed how badly we've also been butchering the pronunciation all this time, as the correct way to say Tulisa would be 'Tul-ITZ-ah' instead of 'Tuh-lees-a' which most of us have been saying.
"We just butcher it," Atwood noted, laughing, to which Tulisa responded: "Yeah... so that ended up being my nickname in Greek, growing up."
Elsewhere on the podcast, Tulisa also opened up about the heartbreaking reason she had plastic surgery due to a Bell's Palsy diagnosis.
Recalling her first flare-up of the condition at the age of 24, she said: "I had a massive burst of inflammation and it went down but my whole face dropped.
"I couldn't move it, my face remained like that for seven months, I didn't go out, I just hid in the house."
Tulisa then went on to explain how the fillers she'd gotten in subsequent years were to 'balance out' her face.

Fans of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! are pretty sure they heard GK Barry say something right before she narrowly escaped having to do a Bushtucker Trial.
It's pretty much impossible to go on I'm A Celeb and not be showered in creepy crawlies at some point, but if you can avoid being voted onto doing the Bushtucker Trials, then you can dodge the worst of it.
Those cocktails of blended camel penis aren't going to drink themselves and the boxes filled with beetles await a human occupant, but depending on how the public votes there are some celebrities who will be able to let someone else do it.
Last night's (18 November) episode of I'm A Celeb had the public vote on who would tackle an upcoming trial coming down to GK Barry and Dean McCullough, and in typically dramatic fashion, Ant and Dec dragged out the reveal before they announced that it'd be Dean who had to face the peril.
Those watching the show were pretty sure they heard GK Barry say something just before it was confirmed that Dean had been voted onto doing the trial.
Check it out:
Did you hear that?
Right as Ant and Dec were saying 'Dean, it might be you', a faint voice could he heard saying, 'please let it be Dean' and viewers reckon it was GK Barry who said it.
In fairness to her, the Bushtucker Trial in question is called 'sinister sarcophagus' and it doesn't sound very much like a good time for anyone.
Chuck pretty much anyone in that situation and they'd also be thinking 'please let it be Dean'.
She also jumped up and shouted 'YES' when she knew it wouldn't be her getting put in the 'sinister sarcophagus', but once again, wouldn't you be glad it wasn't you?
The reaction to GK Barry from viewers has been a bit mixed, as she ended up in the final two who might have to do a trial, but won plaudits from viewers for picking up nine stars in another trial she had to do.
She'd just had to do a Bushtucker Trial and almost got picked for another one right afterwards. (ITV)
If nothing else, she 'bossed the trial' and brought home the bacon for the camp even if she did rather scream her way through 'vile volcano'.
Some I'm A Celeb fans worried that 'GK Barry is going to do every trial, isn't she', and had viewers wondering if they ought to implement a rule that a celebrity couldn't do back to back Bushtucker Trials, if only to spare those at home from hearing the same person shriek in shock after another deluge of insects.
Even then some viewers said that GK Barry was 'giving us top tier tv every night' so it'd be worth it.
Elsewhere in the jungle, Coleen Rooney opened up on her 'worst nightmare' from the Wagatha Christie trial and Tulisa has been showing off her tattoo to her fellow campmates.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight (19 November) at 9pm on ITV One.
